Hybrid and cognitive digital twins for the process industry

Abstract In a Europe that is undergoing digital transformation, the COGNITWIN project contributing to accelerate transformation and introduce Industry 4.0 European process industries. The opportunities here can be illustrated by SPIRE 2050 Vision document ( https://www.spire2030.eu/sites/default/files/users/user85/Vision_Document_V6_Pages_Online_0.pdf ), which states “Digitalisation of industries has tremendous potential dramatically change in resource management, control design deployment disruptive new business models.” are characterized with harsh environments where sensors either costly, not available, or may subject costly maintenance. development twins exploit combinations data-based physics-based models often found preferred path robust help cutting costs reduce energy consumption. this article, we present 5 out 6 industrial pilots developed project.
